All the Wallace ladies, All the Wallace ladies!

Getting together with extended family at uncle Al's house in norther Virginia was a special treat.  Lincoln and Zia learned a lot! Sonja loved meeting her new step cousins!  Everyone was glad to see each other!

This year we have been so glad to have my mom and dad close, Sonja learns tons from her grandma, and it's always good to visit the countryside along the Tongue River ...

(although it's not like we really have much need to "get away from it all") 

Highlights of the year have been:

having Danlin's family visit;

getting to know Alyssa better;

meeting Ashley, Patrick, and Craig;

spending time with our neighbors, the Fritz family.

Things to do in the West

Visit Billings, MT (it's better if you know someone there, and it always helps to have a good lawyer)!

Take in the sights in exotic Thermopolis ~

Sonja is a big fan of dinosaurs.  She's here to remind you, dimetrodon was not a dinosaur!

Danlin risked life and limb to raft the Wind River Canyon!

Ian up and joined the 7th Cavalry Drum and Bugle Corps.

Sonja enjoyed exploring the San Diego area very much.  There was lots to see and do, including interacting with local wildlife, and ogling captive animals at the San Diego Zoo and Sea World.  Mommy and Daddy enjoyed the cosmopolitan cuisine to fullest!

We were very glad to have all of Sonja's grandparents together this summer, as Danlin's parents, Xiao Li and Jin Ming, along with her aunt, Li Ming, came for a nice long visit.
